Need Reticle Help

Hi Folks, am looking for a scope for hunting/shooting out to 600 yds. Do any of you have any info on the Rapid Z 600 or 800 from Zeiss or the velocity ballistic retiale from Nightforce. They look about the same. You can only get the velocity reticle in the 2.5-10x scopes from nightforce you have some more options in the conquest from Zeiss. From the sounds of it you need to have the scope on Max power for the reticles to work? The scope will be going on a 300 mag or 300 RUM. I put a conquest on my dads 300 mag last year and it is a great scope. Just want to know if this kind of reticle would be the way to go for deer and elk out to 600. Thanks for the info Sean

I use a z-800 on my .300 RUM, works very well. you just have to use the bal. calc. on the zeiss web site to taylor your load to the reticle.
