NEED HELP

So have you successfully resized this cartridge previously using the same dies, shell holder, etc, etc? If so, is there ANYTHING different vs what you were doing previously (you referenced ADG brass on 4th firing so had you FL resized this ADG brass previously or were you using different brass and this is first time FL sizing the ADG cases?

Absolutely love it ! ! I figured it out, my **** dog came racing in and I hadn't screwed the die down yet , and a few "choice words " towards the dog and I have a extra seating die so I switched them out just in case. My fault all the way. I usually load later in the evening when it's quiet. But in 15 years of reloading it finally happened to me.

The reason it is not camming over is because I have the die screwed in so far.

If I understand this right, you're saying that your die is screwed down past cam-over. That you can't even fully cycle the handle at this point.
Without headspace comparison measurement, it sounds like your chamber is a mismatch with your die.

I don't know if the problem is the die or the chamber. You'll need to measure things to determine this.
If a die issue then the die bottom could be ground, depending on how much near-web body is being sized already. You don't want to trade one problem for another.
If a chamber issue, the shell holder could be ground, but again, watch what body sizing is already happening with your current die.

Did your seating force require cam-over?
Must have been really high

Don't bump until you feel significant resistance chambering a casing. Then .002.

If that's not it and you're already tight, get someone to mill .002 off the top of your shell holder. But first I'd adjust for to 1/4 past flush and really cam over - if you have that type of press.

My son's 270 wsm had the same problem. The extra cam over in a Rockchucker Supreme solved that problem.

I've had the same problem with the 270wsm. With 2 different sizing dies it wouldn't bump the shoulder back far enough. For what ever reason the brass gets work hardened very easily and retains memory and needs to be annealed. I think I also had to sand down the top of the shell holder as well.

I recommend setting you die position per your die manufacturer's instructions or slightly tighter if you can still do a cam over in your press. Try sizing the case. Does it chamber in your rifle?
If not, put a shim under the case in the shellholder, as mentioned above, to push the case up slightly a few thousandths more and size again. Does it chamber now?

If you are still having difficulties, please post the press and sizing die you are using?

Gentlemen, thank you for your replies. I solved my dilemma. I needed to anneal my ADG brass. That is some tough stuff. Die works just fine now. Learned a good lesson on brass today.

That ADG brass is tough stuff - had pretty much same issue with some 6.5 PRC. Annealing seems to be required with some cartridges after a few firings or you just can't resize properly.

I am using the same shellholder that I have used for years. This is ADG brass on its 4th firing.

If this is the 4th firing, when did you anneal your brass. I anneal after the first firing, and then after every other firing.
