My question is 2 fold.
I'm wanting to order a custom reamer 300 RUM that will be setup optimized for 230 berger hybrid target with a 4" wyatt box (CFE-9). I spoke to Manson reamers and they want me to send a dummy. They recommend 50 thou clearance from the box to bullet tip for proper feeding. That would make the COAL ~3.950" give or take. Does that length seem appropriate for the bullet/cartridge combo?
my 2nd part of the question is I'm having problems seating a bullet at that length with my redding micrometer die, see attached pic. Do they make an extension for these dies? Or do I need to get a different seating die? or ?
