My sons first deer

My son was able to kill his first deer today during NH youth weekend. Beyond proud of him! At only 7 years old, he had to make a shot over 100 yards that was exactly ideal but we made it happen! I'm so stinking proud! Rifle is my bergara b-14 hunter in 6.5 creedmoor launching a 140 eld-m. I originally bought the rifle for him but i ended up liking it so much its become my main deer rifle lol

Those small people have it way harder then us when it comes to guns nothing fits right, it's heavier and they also can't even see as well as us half the time!!!
Took my kid on his first hunt and I hadn't really paid attention to him much more they deal with just due to size

Thats 100% the truth! It's very much a challenge for them due to their size!

My little guy is left eyed and right handed so I ended up putting a eotech on his 30-06
One thing I noticed was you could just glance over and make sure he was on before he pulled trigger! Wouldn't work well for longer shots but it sure helped him with follow up shots and confidence

I'm with Petey308 and jessej, at 7 years old it's a trophy and nobody should say differently. Congratulations and great shooting for a little guy!
