My Late WY Antelope

Which 140 Berger and how did it do? I am a 6.5x284 fan. What was the distance? Thanks for the information and congratulations on your buck.
I love the 6.5x.284 for hunting with my Cooper. I've used 140 gr Berger Hunting VLD for many years and have never been disappointed if I did my job into the boileroom. This shot was 425 yards with minimal wind.

Great goat and when you find the older knobby character ones like yours it's really special. I have used 25-06 for them most of time except when very windy and I want heavier bullet. Then I use 300 wsm with 150 gr bullet. Love hunting them in big open country. Very good eating too.

Cool buck! I chased one that looked like that for a couple days this year. You werent in somewhat close vicinity of Casper area were you? This guy looks very similar to a buck I was after in early October.

View attachment 160011 Worked to get this specific buck for 4 days and last morning the 140gr Berger out of my Cooper 6.5x.284 did the trick. Biggest buck with junk I've shot.

I hunted 5 weekends in area 73 north of Casper trying to find such a trophy this year. There are usually several unique critters in that unit. Alas I now have an empty tag and season has ended. Congrats on your your great buck.

Montana 73, that's an awesome buck. Hunted out of Lost Springs, Wyoming on family property which the 5 of us all drew doe tags. 1005 successful. We saw allot of super bucks. In fact it was hard to pick out the does at distance. Got to love those black faced bucks. Congratulations on a beautiful Buck.

No, I got this guy West of Saratoga, WY. Have hunted near both Casper and Gillette in the past with good results.
