Heck of a buck and DIY on top of it, congrats.
Nice little 80 yard chip shot as a hunting partner had bumped him out of his bed and he came right out in front of me and stopped to look back at my partner.

80 yd chip shot, on that bruiser it'd feel like 800yds to me. On the photo background of the burn area. It always seemed to me like a different kind of beauty in mother nature when it grows back with the scorched trees then the grasses coming back in.

Yeah that particular burn has really turned into a favorite spot - so much old burn deadfall makes it a maze to walk through and we see lots of bedded bucks and elk in it each year. Been pretty cool to watch it grow back up over the years.
