muzzle break question

Ok guys i have a vais muzzle break that came off of my edge and i was wandering if i could use it on my 300 ultra mag it has the same diameter. The only difference is the inside diameter is bored for a 338 which i would assume is 20 or so thousanths bigger than that, will the inside diameter being that much bigger make a difference in any way that yall know of. Guys dont get me wrong if i had the extra cash this thing would go right back to Darrell but i got a brake that hasnt cost me anything and right now times are tough.

the size of the hole has a very big effect on the recoil reduction. .020 clearance seems to be about optimal.
