Quick question I see some of the tactical mounts like 30 mm Vortex have Allen screws on the side versus one nut on the side. is more preference is one better than the other.gun)

I would say it is a matter of preference. Torque them properly and thread-lock and you'll be fine either way.

+1.....Agreed. As a preference I prefer a single heavy duty nut over the allen head.

That is my preference as well. For scope mounts. I find it less endearing in a vice president . . .

I had another LRHer recommend TPS rings so I got a set. VERY impressed with the quality.

I am e big fan of steel (NF Burris) but that being said I have had some heavy duty burris tactical aluminum rings that stood up well!

got scope mounts in was told to get medium hieght placed scope 4x16x50 vortex pst.. I have about a 1/4 inch gap from the bottom of scope to barrel is this to high should I have gone with low profile they do set on a 20 moa base
