Monstrous blacktail taunting me

The day after rifle deer season ended, my mom sent me this picture from her front yard. If you've ever dealt with Columbia blacktail, you'll know how truly enormous this thing is.

The biggest blacktail I have seen are always the day after season, or 10 minutes after dark......it's uncanny how the big ones just seem to know when the coast is clear. That is truly a monster, if you don't mind, What state? If you'd rather not say I totally understand.

No Worries he's in his prime and would probably brake a mileage counter

This blacktail would see me off and welcome me home during hunting season.
I always got a chuckle when i'd shoot a smaller buck a few hours from home to see him in the garden when i got back.

We have pockets in Washington that hold deer like that also. Crazy how certain areas just hold the right combination of stuff to produce world class blacktail.

All the blacktail I used to see in Washington state were nothing like that.
