We've been hunting hard all month in southern oregon for blacktail. The bucks just disappeared after the recent full moon on our 3 trail cams, including a 6x7, and a giant 3x4 and 4x4. Today was the last day of rifle season and it was raining so we left early and got into position around 615 am. Around 815 am this guy that we hadn't seen much off came in. The 300 blk pistol using Barnes 110 gr tac-TX did some serious damage on him. Not the biggest buck but still happy.

Blacktails are almost always a truly challenging hunt. Congrats to you on filling your tag on the last day. That's a good feeling.
