Modify McMillan hunters edge stock

I have a McMillan Hunters edge varmint sendero/varmint rem sa stock for a build. The stock has room for my Wyatt extended box and the box fits my bottom metal, but the stock has an inlet for the hinged floor plate and my floor plate is about 1/4" to long to fit. Is there a maker with a floor plate that will fit this stock and accept the wyatt box or should I enlarge the recess to accept this floor plate? Also the stock is going to have to be modified for the bolt stop on my Defiance action. Is the shell of the stock thick enough in these areas to modify with out violating the integrity of the stock? Thanks for any help, I have never modified a McMillan stock before.

I just milled that same stock for a Kelbly Atlas receiver. You can inlet the floor plate that you have and the bolt stop no problem.
