Badger Ordinance. Are those Valdada rings? Good dremel skills sir.
S&B PMII 5-20x50 Ultra Short. VERY limited mounting real estate. I had to swap from Seekins rings to the Badger Ordinance rings to mount it.Looks like a nice build you got there. Those Schmidt's sure have a short mounting surface. Once I had a guy who was willing to trade me a really nice new Schmidt for a NF 4-16x50 atacr that I was trying to sell. It would have been a better scope for the 338 Lapua improved that I was building but the available spacing was too short for my Defiance GA Hunter action.
WHOLLY SANTA CLAUSE S*^%T That is one sexy azzzzz rifle!!
Ha ha send er back to the shop and I'll mill it sexy re cerakote it and send er back bud!
Looks like the real issue is too long of a LOP. But, just remove the first lug with any method you choose.
Only if you are planning on selling it and then maybe. And, what is the point of a custom rifle if not built for YOU.LOP is 13.5". Even though I prefer a slightly shorter LOP, I think it would devalue a really nice rifle.
If you are worried about the resale value, then leave it as-is.LOP is 13.5". Even though I prefer a slightly shorter LOP, I think it would devalue a really nice rifle.
A 1/4"-1/2" would probably make enough of a difference and you could have a spacer made for resale purposes. That might even make it worth more...adjustable LOP.LOP is 13.5". Even though I prefer a slightly shorter LOP, I think it would devalue a really nice rifle.

I was curious about 1 thing though....who cut the bolt handle notch in the stock?
More nice builds!! 6.5 SS must be a favorite if you've got 2. I do like my LPA Fuzions for the amount of available mounting space as compared to my GA Hunter.S&B PMII 5-20x50 Ultra Short. VERY limited mounting real estate. I had to swap from Seekins rings to the Badger Ordinance rings to mount it.
This was on a Lone Peak Fuzion Ti SA that has an additional slot front and rear for mounting.

When I moved the scope to a new build and it is on a Defiance AnTi X, that action has one less slot front and rear available, and the Seekins were just a bit too wide to fit the mounting area available on the S&B. So I had to switch to the Badger Ordinance rings.

I currently have two 6.5SSs. I had two others previously. But yes, I love the 6.5SS. Probably my favorite cartridge I own.More nice builds!! 6.5 SS must be a favorite if you've got 2. I do like my LPA Fuzions for the amount of available mounting space as compared to my GA Hunter.
