Need an opinion on the quality of the new model 70 CRF Winchester rifles. I've never owned one. This would be a new purchase of a new inbox rifle. Haven't purchased any factory rifles in years. Have all custom rigs.

Solid rifles. Play with factory ammo and should be able to find one that's about one moa. Handloads can get it under one moa pretty easy.

I have owned four of them: blued sporter 30-06, blued featherweight 30-06. Sold them to thin the herd. Still have a 308 Win Extreme Weather, and a stainless 30-06 Ultimate Shadow that has an aftermarket Bell & Carlson Medalist stock (30-06), making it essentially an Extreme Weather, but with an unfluted barrel. All are top notch and accurate (<moa). Excellent build quality.
There are two "categories" of the newer manufactured Win m70. They are considered BACO made rifles (Browning Arms Corp). They were made and assembled at the FN plant in South Carolina from 2007-2012 (or 2013?). They are barrel stamped "BACO Morgan, Utah USA" . After that, they were assembled in Portugal (and barrel is stamped, "Assembled in Portugal"). They are both excellent, but I prefer the BACO USA version.

I would that a bore scope and check the rifling I had 2 in 264 win and the rifling looked like it was cut with a butterknife
