It's just math.
As others have said. What ever works for you. WARNING if you are ever in a situation (Hunting/Competition) and you buddy/partner cant relate spotter/shooter data quickly to each other high levels of frustration can occur.
LOL....who needs a scope?When you can see the whites of their eyes at low mag, who needs ranging
