First let me introduce myself.. I've a big fan of outdoors and been shooting for 15yrs but am recently getting into some hunting (deer/varmint). Great site and very informative. Glad to be here.
Most of my rifles are heavy 12+ pound tactical/bench rigs. I'm looking for something that will work on hunts and not be a bear to hike with, yet still be able to shoot at the range with the guys w/o having to wait 10min between shoots b/c the sporter barrel heats up so fast. Also I want something that balences off-hand well.. probably around 22" barrel. Thoughts? Or am I looking at getting two rifles? Oh.. I forgot.. I really want a nice looking wood stock on this one.
