Max mag length for 338LM CIP

My question has unusual circumstances:

I had a 338 LM built to CIP length. There was a mistake made in shipping, and long story short I ended up with a fancy new rifle and no magazine. I would like to start my load development while my mag is on order, but want to stay within mag length. So, based on your experience what is the "tip to tail" OAL max that will still fit in a CIP box?

3.765" but you"ll be in the lands with a 250 or 300grn SMK, Berger 300s will be close about .020-.030" off typically on a standard 338LM chamber.
