I just ordered a magpul chassis for my Savage. I got the Magpul because it was the only one I could get in LH at a reasonable price.
My question is does it need bedding because of the aluminum V blocks.
Also I'm considering partially filling the voids in the other OEM stock with Devcon 10110 to stiffen them up to reliably use a bipod without flexing.

If you're other stocks are the Tupperware plastic stocks, I wouldn't use Devcon for stiffening the forestock.
It will take a lot, plus be heavy.

What has worked for me is as follows.

Scuff up the inside surfaces.
Drill holes in the webbing.
Clean thoroughly with something that does not contain any oils.
Acetone, isopropyl alcohol, or even starting fluid.
Tape off the outside and spray with adhesion promoter. You can find this at any place that sells automotive paint and body supplies.
After drying, I fill with Light Weight Bondo.

Let dry and sand any high areas.

Note, for plastic stocks, use the adhesion promoter for the Devcon to bed the action also.
