Lyman/ohaus m5 scale parts?

Anyone know where to find parts? It seems there is supposed to be a rectangular brass maybe piece where I am pointing in the first picture but it is missing. I would really like to use this scale as it seems like a decent one but is currently unusable.

there is a brass piece about 1 inch by onehalf inch that goes in the slot to the right of the pointers zero mark. have you called ohaus?
