So I recently bought an ohaus M5 balance scales, most of you will likely be familiar with them or there twin the rcbs 10-10. anyway it finally got here the other day and what do ya know one side of the pivot pin with the knife edges that sits in the V blocks is broken off. So my question is, is there a way to get this fixed does Lyman or ohaus still service them or is there someone that specializes in repairing old balance scales? Any help would be appreciated. Or do I have a new paper weight? In which case please post creative uses for junk.

If it was I, first I would give Lyman a call. If nothing can be done by them, second over on 6br get in touch with Scott Parker he refurbishes scales to an extent and makes them more sensitive and accurate.
