Luck was with me

I shot a really good boar hog this morning feeding in our hay field, and didn't realize this coyote was mousing in a nearby hay trap. About 1 minute after my shot on the hog, the coyote came across the pasture broadside to me at a fast dog trot. I barked at him once and he stopped about 150 yards out to have a quick look my way. My 280 Rem did the rest. One less deer and quail killer on our place.

It sure did...the off side shoulder/pelt area took a bit of a pummeling from the 140 grain Accubond...no doubt I had enough gun on this coyote "hunt" for sure.

One of these days I will finnish up my 257 STW and connect on a tote. I figure the pelt will look like confetti
