Looking for an ultra lightweight scope to put on a Kimber Hunter pro.. 6.5 cm The gun is super lite 5.4 lbs so don't want to weigh it down .. What do I look at???
NXS 2.5-10 is a great fit like stated above, they have their place with hardcore durability in the ultralight/sheep rifle department - if your looking for pure weight savings alone the leupold 2.5-8 is hard to beat.
straight power scopes are always lighter than their varying power counterparts... I tossed a 6x Sightron on my kid's Tikka T3 tight in 7rem. It is a whopping 12oz. ...
When I think ultralight scope, I think 13oz to 14oz or less. Seems like it all depends on your budget. For variables, $300 leupold freedom and swfa 2.5-10, $500 leupold Vx3 hd, $700 Swaro z3 3-9x36 and maybe the 3-10x42. I don't know that anyone makes an ultralight scope thats more expensive than the swaro z3.
