Can somebody help with a longrange deer-hog load? I've considered the SST's or Accubond in 165 or 180gr. Ranges from 200 to 600yards possible in S. Texas. This is my first time loading this cartridge. Thanks for any and all help.

180 grain Accubond, 73-77 grains RL22. It's a hammer! I like SST's too, but wouldn't use 'em for hogs.

165 Accubond w/ 78.5 gr RL22 and 180 Accubond w/ 70.0 gr IMR 4350 both shoot very well in my .300 WM, but I have not used them beyond 200 yards.

My gun also likes 70.0 grains of IMR4350 and the 180 Accubond. By the way, the 180 grain CT Silvertips hit same point of impact with this load in my gun.

In my 300 Winn. case's,federal 215 primer,81 grains of H-1000,under 180 grain TXS or AccuuBond gives me an extremely consistent load of low ES and shoots i the mid to high .3 MOA

74.5 grains of H4831sc 180 grian sst or,nosler BT.or serria game kings. thats a great setup for my rem 300 win mag.
I have found 180 shoot better than anything lighter.

rem brass and federal 215 primers.

all 3 leads shoot very well with this setup.

i use 71 or 72 of re-22 , lapua brass; 215gm or wlrm primer; 210gr berger for 1000 yard targets. i know it would kill deer i don't know about hogs. i am using 180tsx( fed factory) for my up coming elk hunt.

jwp475 is that load near max and what velosity do you get.My 300wm is almost finished and i need to start working up a load for it . It has a 26 inch hart barrel. thanks for your help

Re: longrange300wm jwp475

My barrel length is 27.25" plus the brake. The load that I am presently shooting is Win Cases, federal 215 primer and 81 grains of H-1000 with either a 180 grain TSX or AccuBond.3073 FPS average velocity and a 5 FPS extreme spread..I used 74.5 grains of H-4831 before I began using the H-1000 and I got 3150 FPS but not as small of an extreme spread as with the H-1000...... Hope this helps..........
