It all depends on the intended game. If you gave some more specifics you might get better answers.

i'm thinking that i'm going to hunt foxes, and deer and medium sized game /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

If those are the 3 choices, I would pick the 308 win. Lots of bullets, good size of bullets, VERY accurate and very effective on deer sized game to 600+ yards. Easy to load for, lots of data and info...Low recoil, long bbl life. Did I mention accuracy?

Hope that helps

If you want to see some impressive results check out GoodGrouper's 6br tejas, I think that is what it is called. very little powder and great long range results. I don't know about it for real long range deer and other medium sized game unless your deer are as light as our deer are in Oklahoma.

Good Luck
Steve

anyone get real uneasy when you see screen names like this.. with very few posts and no info.?

I wouldn't worry as much if the guy would at least tell ya a bit about himself in the profile.. like where he's from.. age etc....but nope nodda thing...

maybe it is just me...
