My wife has an x-bolt 30-06 with 1:10 twist. I have a tikka with 1:11 twist. Will 150 or 165 grain bullets work well in both? We mainly hunt deer with them, but she does hunt elk with hers. I have a tikka 300 win mag for elk.
I have shot alot of deer and elk with hornady superformance 150gr sst. You could look at reloadersnest but its hard to bet hornady's loads you may be able to get close to them but the 150 is 3080 and the 165 is 2960 published and I have chonographed both they were right on
You won't start having problems with your 11" twist rifle until you get up to 200 grain bullets or so. I'd take a 165 or 180 and fuel it with 4350, 4831, rl19, or rl22 and have at it.
