I'm maxed out at 1,300yds with my current setup. I'm looking for a tapered base and in my hunting around I came across Leupold MK 4 bases which claim: "Bases have a ¼-degree slope for long-range shooting applications" What does this translate to as far as moa? Additionally, any comment on this base? Thanks for the help.

1/4 Moa

Hi. There are 60 minutes to a degree, so 1/4 degree would be 15 moa. I have not seen the base you refer to, but have just put a EGW 15MOA base on my 280 Rem- great service and a really keen price. I'm off now for an early start to the weekend hunting big Reds in the centre of the North Island.
Best regards
Ross
