Leupold 5000 rangefinder moa setting

I have a question for the group. I bought a Leupold 5000 rangefinder and downloaded the Leupold control app. My rifle is zeroed at 100 yds but the app uses a 200-yard zero. I have verified my rifle out to 600 yards and created a ballistic table.

The app gave me a group 6 for my round and speed, but I am noticing what the rangefinder is showing for moa hold is not the same as my ballistic chart (slightly lower than actual). I have played with the variables but can't seem to get them to match. I don't know if it is because my rifle is zeroed at 100 yards and the app uses a 200 yard zero.

Any suggestions?

Can you change the zero to 100 yards in the app? If you can't zero your rifle at 200. It will definitely make a difference.

App only allows a 200 or 300 yard zero. Since I have a dialable MOA turret I did not want to have to zero at 200 when I can zero at 100 and just dial to 200 or any other range when needed.

Use a ballistics app to calculate how much high you would be at 200 compared to 100 and zero at 100 . Example .... your poa is the target and poi is 2" high

Sounds like it is that or if I want to use the moa setting then I would have to zero at 200. I usually zero at 100 and then set my scope to 200 while hunting, so I guess zeroing to 200 would not be that big of a deal.

Keep your 100yrd zero. Shoot at 200, measure where your poi is, input that into your app. Problem solved
