This is only 500 yds, steel is 6" I was working up a load with 230 bergers, since I couldn't find any 215's. There are 3 shoots on this, not sure what the group measured. Rem. 5r mil-spec, 24" barrel, 2767 fps.

What is your load? I have a similar performer with the 230 in my 5r.

Berger 230 OTM's 74.0 gr H1000 2,730fps

760 yds

Honest 1911 yds......three shot's all hit. Doped the wind right on the first one and followed up as fast as I could......this does not happen every time

What is your load? I have a similar performer with the 230 in my 5r.

74grs. H1000, cci250 primers, rem. cases (all I could find at the time)coal is 3.682 which is just touching the lands. the es on this load is 11. It is holding 1/2 moa out to 905yds which is the farthest I have tested it thus far. The good news is I got some 215's coming from another member so will be testing them as soon as the weather clears a bit.

My 300 win mag is the 3rd down from the top. The 1st target pic is her 1st 300 yard sight in group. About 7/8". The second is her 1st 720 yard sight in group. About 3-1/2". All with the 210 ALR. She shoots the 208 AMAX just the same. I have 500 Berger 215 grain Hybrids in the mail that I will be trying out very soon.

Heres a pic of my rifle.......Browning A-Bolt, McMillan stock, 26" Schillen tube and a Leupold Mk IV ELR 34mm 6.5X20.

I too was lucky enough to get 500 of the 215 recently....been waiting to try them too, if there anything like the 230 OTM or the 220 Lapua OTM I'll be pleased. I had a hunter shoot a bull at 585yds last fall with this rifle........
