thanks for the insights! Have a great Tetons trip! I'm looking to go back to the southern Wind River Mts in Aug or early September.

I'll be solo-ing there taking pix around July 11 and then with my daughter and her son the first week in August.

So beautiful and no advance permit to complicate things.

Great trip! I did the Kaibab down, camped at Phantom, back up the BA trail with my future wife. I think that one ended my marriage before we had the ceremony. I was 18, and never hiked. Wow, got a painful lesson.

I can remember driving up from Flagstaff and hiking down the Hermit. Found out my canteen had frozen solid by halfway down.
