Hunting is getting close, and my brother decided he needed my range finder.
I ordered a new one from SWFA, but they were out.
I found one at Camera Land.

It showed up today.
I went to the beach and ranged stuff over on the mainland. 1075 yards was about far as it worked in afternoon sun. I had to rest it in the rail of the dock to get it to do that. My hands shake.

It works really well to 900y.

The CRF1200 worked really well to 650 yards.

The target square in is smaller in the new one. There is an extra button and some features I don't understand yet.

I have never killed anything further than 510 yards, but this year I want to go further.
I don't think the new range finder is going to help. My rifle, ammo, and markmanship are what have been holding me back, not the CRF1200.

I compared my new CRF1600 with, now my brother's, old CRF1200.

Everything was off by ~ 10%.

12 hours later I looked in the manual, and I was in meters mode.
