Just for fun let's see how many oilfield guys are on the forum. Post if you like how many years in the industry, company you work or worked for, field, and what you do/did.

I've been in for going on three years with Schlumberger as a Slickline and Digital Slickline specialist in the bakken.

Hello everyone
30 + years in the industry, consultant for Anschutz Exploration and Anschutz oil, I'm one of the few still working

Don

In the early 80's, I use to work for Western Geophysical processing shot line data for oil exploration in Prudhoe Bay. Also went to Venezuela and Arab Emirates a couple times with them. World has changed a bit since I did that...

3 months drilling conductor holes for Wyoming Casing when work was slow at home helped me get a business off the ground. Kinda reminded me of a Cowpokes cartoon where the two ol boys were talking in the cab of a truck where a young guy was feeding cows in the snowy windy nasty drizzle; the caption read "We're teaching him to WANT to go to college!":Dlightbulb

35 years working for Chevron, 25 years of which working overseas. Retiring Aug 1. Currently working in Nigeria as Drilling Operations manager

I sure hope oil stays on the incline for you boys. I'm good with $65/bbl oil that 100/bbl was a bit out of line tho. several of my son-in-laws are oilfield workers and thus far have been able to keep working but they've stacked rigs from ND, PA & CO thank the good lord they're still working. I had a short 18 month hitch with HP back in the early 80s.

Thank you sir. Yeah $65/barrel oil is a good happy medium that really should be good and honest for everyone. Level load it and no raping and plundering like it was at $100/bbl.

5 years with Precision Drilling in North Dakota. Still working hanging on by the skin of my teeth!!!

I have a steel company and a machine shop catering (unfortunately) 100% to the oil patch, mainly the pressure control side. I have been doing this for the last 25 years, and this is by far the worst downturn I have been privy to.
