I little something to get you excited! This was taken just a few days ago for the stutters, the two walking away was about two weeks ago.
Great bird, congrats! I have friends that count down the days until season opens. One of them says 13 days and a wakeup!Last year in Bayou country. Headed that way again the first of April.View attachment 440127
Wow, I thought Alabama had a late ending season. Ours went out on Feb 10.I was sitting in the deer stand this morning and there were 3-4 just south east of me just hammering down. Didn't shoot a deer but I could sit and listen to that thunder all day!
Let me know when season opens I will meet you there. Those are nice gobblers. I can wait.I little something to get you excited! This was taken just a few days ago for the stutters, the two walking away was about two weeks ago.

I've heard that from several people that hunt in south Alabama. Family member has lease in Tallapossa County and never laid eyes on a deer the whole month of December. They killed two bucks in late January and early February. Normally they kill several bucks and six or eight does. Strange season.Florida goes until 26th. I thought AL was a little weird this year? Ending on a Friday? I went out the last weekend but couldn't make it back up again. My lease up there was a huge flop this year. I'll give it a try for turkey but I'm not holding my breath.
Congrats to you and your daughter. Well done there. My daughter got one monday. Was a little farther than I thought at 47yds, but this is longrange hunting forum, lol. Just glad to get her first bird. I wouldn't suggest 47yds with a 410 though, we got lucky.View attachment 448157
