This things coming together quicker than I was planning. I was expecting to have a lead time on the action stock and trigger but it looks like the only two things that have a wait time are the barrel and my smith.

I'm using a local guy his shop is called, Texas Reloading Room. I really prefer to support local when I can. He's not built a pistol like this before so it will help showcase his abilities and get his name out in more places.

Well here it is. After an almost 40 min conversation with Jim Rockwell I've placed my order and should have my new furniture soon. We had a long in-depth conversation and I decided that his was the stock I wanted.

I'd go with a least a 10 twist. Wouldn't hurt to go with a 8 or 9 either. SP's seem to do well with a little faster twist than full length rifles in my experience

We built a 16" 28 Nosler shortly before we stopped offering our SSP. It wasn't nearly as bad as I figured it would be. The muzzle flash was pretty amazing...

Aaron/rickiesrevenge has a 300 RUM, 330 Dakota, and 7mm Dakota in a center-grip XP-100.
I have a rear grip in a 300 RUM shooting 230 Berger's at 2825, Used to have center-grip 338 Lapua Improved (338 AX/Kirby's wildcat shooting 300's at just 2700 fps), center grip in 7mm SAUM, 280AI, 7mm Dakota, rear grip 7mm Rem mag Improved and 7mm LRM, and 7mm-300 PRC, center-grip 26 Nosler.
Recoil is not bad.
Factors are overall weight of the specialty pistol, chambering, bullet weight, and the quality of the muzzle brake.
The short mags work great in center-grip XP's.
Earl's is on a non-designated 700 SA, so he has a little more weight advantage, but I don't know what contour he is going with.

Yes sir. I supervise the rifle shop there and do all the qualification shooting. I've shot a couple pistols for you in the past.
