Yep, the old 6.5 Swede is an outstanding cartridge, and if you hot rod it a little with some of the improved version and such it's even better. My friend calls his old husqvarna 6.5x55 theYes. If the stupid Creedmoore is than most of the other 6.5 cartrages are. I really thought that needed to be said. Beside the the 6.5x55 is the original 6.5 Creedmoore.. Wow I feal a lot better now.

Amen. I have one short action bolt gun left and everything from now on will be on a long action. I'm tired of seating to mag length. I'd much rather have room to seat the bullet farther out.I've found the long actions are a great help in getting the most out of a cartridge
