I'm brand new to long range shooting, definitely not ready for long range hunting yet. I've been reading this forum for a while, just trying to soak in some of this wealth of knowledge.

This weekend I attended a long range precision course sponsored by my local gun shop. They brought in a couple of guys who are instructors/LE snipers for a weekend crash course in the basics of precision shooting.

It was excellent. I learned more in the classroom and on the range the first day than I think I could have ever figured out on forums, in books, or videos. I would highly recommend getting some hands-on instruction to anyone starting out in this sport!
