I have burned up at LEAST 5+ pounds reloading for my three Marlin 336c's chambered for 35 Remington. I have been satisfied well beyond my hopes.
Had never reloaded for a lever action rifle before, strictly bolt and gas guns as far as accuracy was concerned.
Had decided considering these were lever guns and strictly for deer hunting and max maybe 250 yard shots, anything below 100 yard 2.25 MOA and I would be very very happy.
I was literally caught completely off guard when my worst load gave me 1.8" 100 yard groups and several gave 1.2-1.5" 100 yard groups and my go to load of choice gives me consistent 1.25" 100 yard accuracy.
I use only brass available Hornady, 180 grain Speer HC and Federal LR/RFL primers. An 38.6 grains of IMR 3031.
I don't recall exact SD/ES data but was also very good.
