Can someone recommend a good smith to install pillars and glass bed my rifle? It is a Remington 700 CDL.

Also, not well versed in the value. What would be a fair price for the work?

Give Scott Criddle a call, his business cards are usually found at the gun counters at Sportsmans or at Steel Gun and Pawn.

I don't have his info on had at the moment, but he's a great guy makes custom stocks and does stock work too. I don't know what his rates are, but rates for this kind of work are in access of $150.

It wouldn't hurt to contact him and ask.

Why don'tcha just do it yourself? It's not "that" difficult and is darn good experience.

I've done a ton of them.

I'd be willing to "coach" while you do the work if you'd like to give it a go.
