I broke a die today 🤬

Glad Lee is sending you a cap. You should maybe purchase a few. They are inexpensive and good to have on hand. I was once told that the reason Lee made the cap out of aluminum was because this happens . Rather than damage the die body the cheap cap will let go first. They are a great die and a pleasure to use once the learning curve is done.

Been using the LCD in several cartridges for many years. It requires very little press handle pressure to size the neck. Once you get the hang of it you can feel the neck being sized.
Yes, definite feel as die contact with shell holder is increased. Keep die innards clean & adequately lubed. The collet dies work well with turned necks, body dies and neck crimping. Conforms neck into mandrel instead of expander conforming neck out.

@Hugnot
100 % agree. Very important to keep the die collet and collet sleeve clean and well lubed. In fact when I get the die I polish the collet fingers and sleeve . I find that sometimes they can be pretty rough from the factory.
