hunting bullet for the 338's

Just wondering what others are using in their 338 mags for big game hunting. I am leaning towards the 300 elite hunter Berger or the 285 Hornady a-max. What do others use and/or recommend.

While I don't shoot a big 338, or very long range with it, I run the 250gr hornady spire point and the 185 barnes tsx in my 338WM. both kill with nothing left to desire. If i wanted to stretch out I would load the 250gr accubond or berger.

For long range hunting shots I am using the 300 grain Elite Hunter. It does not fit even in my extended Wyatt box so I am forest hunting with an Accubond, which I think will have better performance where close range shots will have a high impact velocity.
