How clean to get barrel using Tubbs kit

How clean do I have to get barrel in between steps using Tubbs FF kit? I am using boretech eliminator to clean.

I'm sure boretech or Butch's is good enough. You only need to get the major fouling out so FF bullets are working surface peaks.

When I used it on my daughters rifle I ran a nylon brush through from breech to muzzle only, and hosed it off with carb cleaner after each pass followed by patches till I saw no color on the patches, then shoot again.
