Didn't read all of the responses but you don't need a concrete room but three sides covered by concrete yes. The door is the thick part. Video or pics and updating your insurance when you increase the value of your belongings is important

I see the seal around the door as being the weakest link. Letting moisture in, if water is being used to extinguish fire. I would not skimp if building a new room. Just my opinion.
