Hornady B14 Comparator set

I have looked everywhere but haven't found what metal the Hornady inserts are made of. Aluminum or steel? If aluminum, how is the lifespan before the aluminum starts to loose its edge and accuracy falls off or is it hardened to prevent this.

I don't think you will put that much wear and tear on shoulder and bullet comparators that it would matter. aluminum I think. Sinclair may have steel.
