Help Identify a Barrel

Hey guys. I recently came across a 243 AI Savage Prefit barrel that I'm considering buying but I'd really like to know who makes the barrel. It's a 26" varmint contour, stainless. The only markings on the chamber end of the barrel. It has "243 AI 8" stamped in the 12' o clock position. Got any ideas who could have made it?
