I recently bought a 243 rifle on here. Upon further inspection I have found the the barrel has a flaig's stamp on the top of it and a stamp on the bottom that says. Douglas premium. 3. 73. Kk. Anyone know??

I'm confused as to what you want to know about it?

It's a Douglas, and I think that's supposed to be an "XX" and not a "kk", meaning that it's an "XX Match Air-Gauged" barrel. As for the 73, that might be the production year? If not, 7 could be for a #7 contour? Not sure what the 3 might mean?

Thank you sir. Like the Hannibal smith quote. But it has a flaig's stamp on top and 3 73 kk on the bottom. It's got me ?? Would like some history if anyone knows.
