My order of 1 box of 100 6.5 123gr Absolute bullets arrived today. Will try over the next two days to do some testing, Trying to decide what first. My 260 , 6.5x06 or 264 mag. My 260 & 6.5x06 are 1/8 twist along with two of my 264's. Also have two 264's with 1/9 twist. I realize these bullets are for a 1/8 twist. I was told the same thing about the Nosler 140 AB. But the Nosler 140 gr shot great in my 1/9 twist . So will try both ways as time & bullets allow.

Played with my very accurate Savage 260 today & the Hammer Absolute 6.5 123gr . This Savage 260 Rem shoots tiny groups with the Barnes 120 gr TSX & the Hammer 121 gr Hunter. But had considerable problems getting decent accuracy with the Absolute. Started out with 45 grs of Win 760 . This load gives me 3004 fps with the Barnes 120 TSX & the Hammer 121gr. With the Absolute seated like my Barnes it shot about a 2" group. Started seating the bullet out longer & the group started to shrink a little. Finally seated out as far as I could & still feed thru the magazine of the Savage , with groups running about 1 1/4". I am used to getting 1/2" groups with the Barnes & Hammer Hunter. So switched to some RamShot Big Boy with the same results. Th

" group & 3094 fps. Actually feel like I need to reduce that about 1/2 gr . As far as getting 200 to 300 more fps , I don't see it. Am a bit disappointed in the Absolute. Seated the Absolute out as far as possible & still feed thru the magazine reliably.
