I need to have the barrel set back on my 300 Tomahawk. Can any one suggest a Gunsmith who is able to do this? I'd like the throat cut for a 190 or 210 grain bullet.

Would I be better off to just have my own new reamer cut from a dummy round?

Tim,
I don't know for sure but I think the Tomahawk was designed for the 240gr SMK, you'll probably have to have a custom reamer made for the shorter bullets. You should call and talk to Dave Kiff at Pacific Tool and Guage.

Wayne,

That's part of my problem. The original 'smith insisted on cutting it for the 240 SMK, and I relented. But the rifle never did like those bullets, so I've been screwed from the word go.

Let Dave Kiff build the reamer, have Chris Matthews do the smith work and have JLC build the dies. JMO /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Mr. Romain did the original work on the rifle.

I was hoping to find someone different to fix the rifle, with out the expense of buying my own reamer.
