Korhil78,
Impressive groups, I would like to have a 338 of some sort. Here in the Midwest it isn't really that practical, no place to stretch it out to it's limits. So I will stick to the 7mm and the 300wm for now. But that's not all bad either.
This group gave me my biggest grin.View attachment 29319

Thea are the groups that have made me smile the most.
1300 yards 4 shots measuring 4.8"

Went out two days later to see if I could repeat for consistency.
1300 yards 4 shots measuring 4.9"

Both groups were about 5" off point of aim so I was happy with that.
The gun:
338 Lapua
26" hart sendero contour barrel 1:10
McMillan A3 stock
CSR muscle brake
Jewell trigger
Nightforce 5.5-22x50

View attachment 29364 this group made me smile the most but it was just a one shot group thru the lungs and into off side shoulder 803yds. Wy. Sept.2013 It is what I practiced for 18mos to do.
Load is:
300 gr Berger OTM
93 gr of H1000
OAL by measuring from the ogive is 3.058"
Measuring from the tip of the bullet is 3.900". It is a single shot so I don't have to worry about them fitting into a magazine.
They are loaded .015" from the lands.
I don't shoot this load above 80 degrees as ejector marks will start to show. But I don't ever hunt anywhere where it is above 75 degrees so I am good. It is super accurate. This Friday, I am going to take it out to 1780 and see what kind of groups I get.
