This forum kept coming up in the results from various search engine results, so I decided I might as well sign up.
My long range hunting has more to do with how far in I like to go. Typically 5 to 25 miles in from trailhead. I also enjoy hunting solo and by necessity, learned field boning to deal with the distances involved. I wish I had learned some of these techniques when I was younger. Back in the day, growing up rural it was just a day trip from home and drag the deer back to the truck.
I am also a hunter education instructor and an NRA rifle and pistol instructor.
