Problem with that is they could care less what we think. They don't need your vote. They have proven it. Out in the open, in our faces. They only care about money and power. Take away either and then they might come to the table.
Butter Bean and Orange Dust,

I've been to DC and while it may be cause for a little media attention, about all we end up doing is cleaning up the trash and filth left on the streets by the Washingtonians. I'll tell you straight up that I do not have the answer, but I do have a theory. The only possible way to prevent what now seems the inevitable is to bring the democratic gun owners and shooters on board with this cause. I have shared many hunting camps with staunch democrats and though I have never been able to grasp their ideas or what causes a full-grown American to believe as they do, I have seen democrats rally around the idea of gun ownership.

It will require people with strong commitment and great courage to rally together people of like mind, especially people that can persuade gun owners of all parties to come together and show the incoming government that though they may have barely won this election, they are not in the majority when it comes to gun rights. More Democrats now own guns than ever before and they, too, have little desire to see their recently purchased weapons taken away from them. Their safety and the security of their families are in danger and many democrats are fearful of losing their rights to protect themselves just as are we.

Convincing the people of the other side that the dangers of the slippery slope they are treading upon will not be easy, but it is one opportunity to show that there is still overwhelming support for gun ownership in this country.

I have never been a leader and due to my age and lack of good health, I can only agree to assist in any way I am able. There are those of you who know leaders and organizers that can put together organizations that could unite from across this country to show that the people of this country are not ready to give up our weapons. Think of the Tea Party Movement, only larger and stronger. Gun control will be the disillusion of gun ownership in this country.

And in the old thread you all said I was the dreamer. Here is the problem as I see it: They all live in a bubble and think all conservatives are like the spineless ones we tend to send up there. Just look what happened when we sent one that wasn't and couldn't be Co-opted (Bought), namely Trump. Because they can get away with any lawless thing they want up there, they think the rest of us are the same. Foolish and dangerous. There are many of us that fear no man, only God.
I don't think there are enough radical Democrats to win ANY election in the US without either lying, cheating, running unopposed, or against a total idiot for a Republican. I think the American people are more than that. The only way to get real change is to prosecute the lawbreakers to the point they stop. In other words someone is going to have to MAKE them change. Just going after the Dems in the House and Senate won't do any good either. We have Socialists embedded in every Government Agency (The Swamp) that are accountable to no one, the educational system, entertainment industry, media, and big business. they all cover for each other, and no one is or will be held accountable by any Government Agency. The Chinese are helping them. This is why I am scared. I am old, trying desperately to retire, have RA, and can't actually do anything but worry and protect my home and family. I see trouble, big trouble ahead. There are too many young ones that don't want to wait until the next election to try again. They want it fixed now and are sitting on 8 Trillion rounds of ammo. If they lose control and go after them, or the other side thinks they need to take them out first, the best any of us can hope for is to live out our lives in poverty. It is so sad, I have worked all my life, obeyed the law, paid my taxes, and built up a good retirement. I do not want to lose it. I pray everyone will just calm down. All of this is the truth, and I dare anyone to dispute it. This post will also most likely get this thread killed like the first one, but it is honestly how I feel right now.

I have always liked and respected you, ButterBean1
I appreciate it, there are a lot of folks that don't ( not that I care ) I've found over my lifetime that most folks don't like the truth even when it's painfully in clear sight, I will say It was my honor that this country let me serve in the military, I just simply can't believe what it has become

74honker,

I am pretty good at drawing maps to where those people might want to visit forever. This has been a great thread and we really are lucky to have so many insightful people add their opinions.
I remain confident that there are enough of us to prevent this situation from fully materializing, and with some hard work, maybe enough people to prevent this from happening altogether. If the trend of defunding the police continues, we will have more people that may possibly be willing to listen to our point of view. Hang in there all.

Thank you so much. I wish I was just 20 years younger. I would be much noiser. I would say my piece to whoever would listen. Dont care what they think of me anyway. I'm pretty sure I have won enough championships that I'm on an "A" list for removal and re-education anyway. Thing is I'm no threat to anyone, unless attacked. Just want to enjoy what's left of my life in piece.

I feel some these people needs to be hooked up with Rip on the show Yellowstone and given a ride to the train station. Just kidding. David
