Our season doesn't open until the end of the month.

I would not feel right off the porch. I would at least have to sneak down the steps. LOL

Could tie a piece of corn onto the end of my fishing line. Let him swallow it , & reel him in like a pike.

I don't know about where you live but here in Wisconsin it would be considered, "BAITING!" DNR Frowns on that and besides turkey against 16 pound test line the turkey would most likely win. I would go with at least 50lb test.

In Oklahoma the birds also like to visit driveways…..this was last spring on the same day. The two were in my driveway staring at me as I walked to my truck and then saw that big Tom puffing up in the neighborhood when I was driving home that afternoon.

Not the greatest quality because its a frame grab from a video, but this guy's feathers were something else when the sun hit him. Took this up at my parent's house this weekend near Sacramento, CA.
