So recent announcement is first step in achieving energy plus in fusion reaction. The potential for the future is starting to look brighter relative to clean, cheap, non polluting energy. This is still long way off before we have:

They claim to have measured something that lasted 1/100,000,000,000,000 of a second (trillionth). I'm not sure I'm buying what they're selling just yet...call me a Ludite if you will.

I wonder if that Mr Fusion will have the longevity of my Mr Coffee?

Probably more than our lifetimes out on personal sized fusion power generation. But nu scale has done amazing work on the light industrial/small city sized generators.

Using leftover "waste" if you will from all the fun we had in the 50s.
